Søren Parmo is a self-taught painter born in 1966 in the oldest city of Denmark, Ribe. Today, his home is located in Copenhagen, close to his studio in Copenhagen South Vest Quarters.
Søren Parmo is inspired by the ideas and expressions of the COBRA-movement. The inspiration is primarily shown in his effort to express spontaneity and impulsiveness. His work is concentrated around the contrasts of the art, for example he alternates in his work between the simple and the chaotic, between the funny and the serious.
However, the most important characteristic of Søren Parmo is the playing and naive element in his work. In addition, the paintings are characterised by a use of strong colours, clever figures and funny and complicated titles.
Søren Parmo exhibits his works in recognised studios at home and abroad.
